Olympia: This Beats Happenin!

well, i always had a hard time with music in Washington, i mean in late elementary and middle school Nirvana was like huge and important, it had a huge effect on me. but like other than like random stuff or just a song from a certain group, i had a hard time identifying with music hear. and still do. i just felt so out of place or like cant relate, especially nowa days, but this band was always very important, and interesting, to me. just stumbled upon some stuff again, this group is The Beat Happening from Olympia.

Temperature Drops

"the few days after the holiday, that ends the month, the bike ride escaping his lack of sleep thought and feeling. the temperature drops, frozen specs of frozed water lay at the end of the street, not able to tell where the end of the sidewalk is, from the frozen pile of leaves that  invite you in. he is still hovering from his high, passed the hospital where he was born, almost home now he pedals faster but cant feel his joints bend, ice cold. two men pass him as the dont give a shit or show no concern to leave room on the sidewalk, the man exhales from his cigarette blowing smoke in my face, it hits his lung harshly. panicked riding away from the scenes. the garage door opens, off the bike. garage door closes. bike drops off the kick stand. the light goes out.

I always watch this every year around this time. i just really love Mr. Price. hes so inspiring, warm, gentle, charming, and genuinely funny!

Cemetery Rock

This is a little song i did over the summer. It is just a Loop that is a reoccurring fantasy of mine every summer. Something that still hasn't happened. inspired by a dream, a picture, a feeling. i dont feel the need to explain myself but the title comes from a memory of climbing this rock at the center of a funeral scene, and it symbolizes the grave stones, i also though it was a cramps esque title. anyways here it is:

Cemetery,
Wait for all your friends,
Obituary, matched the stones,
Here he rests his bones.

New Theater In Seattle

its pretty exciting news, even though its old news, but i am just catching onto it. but anyways, the theater in Seattle's U-district the Neptune, was a historic theater known for playing movies new and old. they decided to shut it down and restore it and reopen it as a music performance theater! it will also have special movie nights and play productions. pretty exciting news.
