sorry but i watched this at 3:00 in the morning and it scared me

i was asking my dad last week if this procedure really exists, and if it is legally done to people after i saw the movie shock treatment. so i searched it up and it completely freaked me out, i thought i was dieing and i couldnt sleep all night.
